A Message From the Scoutmaster
Welcome to the Troop 8880 website. To our visitors, thank you for taking the time to learn about our unit. Feel free to browse our site, check out photos from our recent events, and drop us a line if you have any questions. To our current members, adult and youth alike, I encourage you to visit our site regularly to stay up to date on the latest information and upcoming events. I am excited about new features coming to our Web site that will enhance our communications.
Troop 8880 is a young but growing youth-led unit with emphasis in high-adventure, backcountry hiking and camping. Our unit is a vibrant combination of younger and experienced Scouts working together under the generous sponsorship of Cherokee Presbyterian Church in Canton.
Along with our terrific team of Troop Committee members, Assistant Scoutmasters and other adult leaders and parents, I am fully committed to deliver to our young men the Promise of Scouting, and to fulfill the aims of character development, citizenship, and physical, mental and moral fitness.
Tennis great Arthur Ashe once said, “Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.” I invite you to join us on this fabulous journey.
